Australian Mariners Reunion 2010 "12th March to 15th March"

Dear all,

It is now well acknowledged that our 2^nd reunion has exceeded all our expectation. The event undoubtedly involved massive logistics. Kazi Mamun carried out meticulous planning and execution. Exotic food, varieties of Barta colourful, delicious pitha  representing  all regions of Bangladesh can not be expressed in words. Everyone commented, never eaten so tasty biriani. Never seen such display of eatery in any party, in any function.

Sadaruddin,    can we  get the smell  also when we watch your video clip!

Many participants’(including my family) want to come to next reunion , only if this food can be repeated.

During our 1^st reunion, we did not see such a spontaneous  response from all participant  that they  all wanted to get a confirm date for the next reunion before departure.  Farewell was very emotional and heart breaking.

All participants agreed to pay not only  advance deposit and also  to carry over any left overs  (if any)for the next reunion.

Inshallah,  very soon, addressing all legal issues, we shall develop a robust financial model for funds acceptable to all.

But for the time being let us put the REUNION issue at the back burner and improve our  communication, exchange of ideas. Jokes,  regional activities etc

Our Canberra resident,  Mamun ,a top IT professional  has volunteered to develop an excellent communication regime. We all must support him.

We have over one hundred Marine families as per attached list but sadly  just few of us are only  corresponding.

I earnestly request all , particularly email-shy mariners to drop few lines and  show your presence in the net.
